DIY electronics workshop
The second series of DIY noise gadgets by Thremindi Orchestra and Friends follows the series with Theremini, Touchtone, and Micronoise.
For soldering, you will need the following tools: lead-free solder, soldering iron, long-nose plier, diagonal cutting plier, table protection surface, sponge for solder iron tip, and desolder wick.
For etching, you will need to set up a chemical lab. Ensure you handle all chemicals with great care, always wearing eye protection glasses and silicone gloves, and use wooden tweezers to move the copper PCB in the chemical solutions. Follow the instructions on the following link.
Super-in-LOW is a low-frequency oscillator with four potentiometres.

Weirdamine is a white noise maker developed from John Leafcutter’s Wrongamine, making brown to high-pitch noise controlled by LDRs (light-dependent resistors) that change the pitch of three oscillators with the amount of light projected on their squiggly surface. The making of this was one of the most romantic DIY projects for me, with lots of hanging around at Ljudmila = Art and Science Lab and some chemical reactions in the process of etching. This extremely unpredictable small device was made in collaboration with Zergon. We redesigned the original PCB to make it not just weird but simply beautiful… The original schematics for Wrongamine were published on Leafcutter John’s webpage and are now unfortunately unavailable. One of these days, I might remake a KiCad schematics 😉
