Venue: Ljubljana Dance Theatre
The performance explores a post-apocalyptic world by radicalising the present, treating the apocalypse as a system that has reproduced itself to the extreme. A wasteland, decaying objects, and unproductive bodies serve as material remnants of capitalist logic: relentless productivity, commodification, overproduction, consumerism, and information excess. Bodily autonomy confronts subjugation to an invisible yet omnipresent violence, inextricably linked to patriarchal and economic structures; this manifests physically through self-censorship and aimless wandering within impossible actions. The performance examines the concept of human desire as the engine of the psyche, a force that keeps us alive and active precisely because it is rooted in perpetual unfulfillment. It offers neither a vision of the future nor nostalgia for a world that no longer exists. Instead, it focuses on the ineffable, the unfinished, and the anticlimactic: not redemption, but rather the transformation of meaning.
