Co-creation and performance of the dance by Keith Hennessy and sound improvisation by Ida Hiršenfelder

Performance: 11 June 2025
Venue: Španski borci Cultural Centre, Ljubljana (SI)

An encounter between a dancer and a sound artist who have never met in person. Trusting improvisation, juxtaposition, curiosity, and magic, we will explore and nurture the worlds where imagination defeats tyranny.

About the artists:
Keith Hennessy
is a researcher of playfulness, imperfection, and witchcraft, working in the fields of dance, performance, activism, accessible living, sexuality, and teaching. Through improvisation and collaboration, he is constantly learning; his work is interdisciplinary and experimental. He has lived in San Francisco for over 40 years while also travelling and performing worldwide. www.circozero.org
Ida Hiršenfelder (beepblip) is a sound artist and archivist. She composes psychogeographical, spatial and ambisonic pieces, sound installations, and sound walks. She is particularly interested in acoustic ecology and the placement of sound in space, through which she addresses themes such as the selves of inorganic others, translating non-human languages, and listening to the inaudible. https://beepblip.org/
