Entrances, dance film, Slovenian Cinematheque, 6th Dance Film Evening, 6 March 2025, 20:00, 14′ 04”
Whoever you are: in the evening step out of your room, where you know everything; yours is the last house before the far-off: whoever you are.
— Rainer M. Rilke: The Book of Images / Introduction
A short dance film premiered at the 6th Dance Film Evening at the Slovenian Cinematheque co-organised by the Ljubljana Dance Theatre was created by the author Snježana Premuš in collaboration with Luka Umek, Sanja Nešković Peršin, Ida Hiršenfelder and Ajda Tomazin. Entrances are taking place in a greenhouse as an intermediate space between the cultural and the natural, safe and free, formal and organic, ephemeral and eternal. It is surrounded by membranes that we call walls, doors and windows. A woman enters. A poetic journey begins and the inside turns outward. The author is interested in the materiality and safety of space as well as its poetic dimension —a space that seems to exist separately from the material world.
