Ida Hiršenfelder (1977) a.k.a. beepblip is a Ljubljana, Slovenia based media art critic, curator for media art and sound artist. She works at the +MSUM Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova on projects related to digital archives. She is a coordinator and editor of Web Museum, repository for contemporary audio-visual art, and the museum’s on-line editor. From 2007 to 2013 she was a digital archivist at Center for Contemporary Arts SCCA–Ljubljana, where she was co-developing, DIVA Station, Digital Video Archive. Media archeology, archives and their disappearance – the digital life and the digital afterlife, temporality and historicisation – are some of her key interests. She is also an advocate and user of free and open source software, and creator of experimental sound-art under an alias beepblip. She is a member of experimental sound collective Theremidi Orchestra . From 2010 to 2014 she was a curator and advisor at Ljudmila, Ljubljana Art and Science Laboratory. Together with media artist Saša Spačal, she is a co-founders of ČIPke, Initiative for Women with a Sense for Technology, Science and Art at RAMPA Lab – Kersnikova Institute. With Spačal she also created a series of sonoseismic installations: Crust (2014) & Earth (2015-2017). She collaborates with media artist Robertina Šebjanič and sound artist Aleš Hieng – Zergon on a series of chemical sound installations: Chemical Sound Deposition (2017-2018) and Time Displacement / Chemobrionic Garden (2015-2016). The latter was presented at Ars Electronica (2016) on The Radical Atoms and the Alchemists of Our Time and on Device_art 5.016 exhibition in Montreal. Prior, she was a journalist at Dnevnik Daily and Radio Student. She holds BA in Sinology and Theology from University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Arts. Ida Hiršenfelder (1977) alias beepblip je kuratorka, ki živi in dela v Ljubljani. Kot avtorica deluje tudi v polju zvočne in intermedijske umetnosti. Zanima jo zgodovina medijev, arhivi, njihovo izginevanje, medijska arheologija in filozofija temporalnosti. Zaposlena je v +MSUM Muzeju sodobne umetnosti Metelkova, kjer skrbi za projekt digitalizacije zvočno vizualne kulturne dediščine Mrežni muzej in druge muzejske digitalne aplikacije. Med leti 2007 in 2013 je bila arhivistka za projekt Postaja DIVA, Digitalni video arhiv pri Centru za sodobno umetnost, SCCA-Ljubljana. Je zagovornica in uporabnica prostega in odprtokodnega programja. Med leti 2010 in 2014 je bila kuratorka in svetovalka pri Laboratoriju za znanost in umetnost, Ljudmila. Je članica kolektiva za zvočno umetnost Theremidi Orchestra, s katerim razvija DIY elektronska glasbila in zvočne pokrajine. Z intermedijsko umetnico Sašo Spačal sodeluje pri seriji sonosezmičnih instalacij (Skorja, 2014; Zemlja, 2015-2017) v produkciji Kible in Aksiome. S Sašo Spačal je tudi sopobudnica iniciative ČIPke za ženske s čutom za tehnologijo, znanost in umetnost. Z instalacijo Časovni zamik – Kemobrionični vrt so se v soavtorstvu z intermedijsko umetnico Robertino Šebjanič in zvočnim umetnikom Alešem Hiengom – Zergonom predstavili na festivalu Ars Electronica (2016) v osrednji razstavi Radical Atoms and the Alchemists of Our Time in na razstavi Device_art 5.016 v Montrealu. Pred tem je bila novinarka v kulturin redakciji časopisa Dnevnik in na Radiu Študent.
